Understanding your metrics

Total tracked visits

What it measures: Combined count of all visits that count toward your monthly quota. Includes:
  • 404 page visits (broken links)
  • Redirect rule activations
Excludes:
  • 301 redirect visits (unlimited, don’t count toward quota)
If approaching your limit, consider creating 301 redirects for high-traffic URLs or upgrading your plan.

Redirect rule visits

What it measures: How many times visitors triggered your redirect rules. Why it matters:
  • High numbers indicate your rules are actively being used
  • Identify which rules handle the most traffic
  • Candidates for conversion to 301 redirects
Where to see more: View rule matches (Enterprise only) to see which specific URLs are triggering rules and convert high-traffic patterns to 301s.

404 visits

What it measures: Visits to broken URLs that aren’t covered by any redirects or redirect rules. Why it matters:
  • These are broken links actively hurting your customer experience and SEO
  • High 404 counts mean you need to create redirects
  • Immediate action required for frequently-accessed broken links
Where to see more: Visit the Broken Links page to see which specific URLs are receiving 404 visits and create redirects to fix them.
